End-User Licence Agreement

This agreement covers your use of the CamHeard application. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

01Licence grant

CamHeard grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app, subject to the edition you hold:

• Trial — free to use, capped at 20 clips per project.
• Pro — unlimited clips per project, activated on 1 machine.
• Studio — unlimited clips per project, activated on up to 3 machines owned or controlled by the licence holder.

A "machine" is a single physical computer. You may move a licence to a replacement machine if you stop using it on the old one.

02What you may not do

• Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the app or your licence key.
• Share your licence key publicly or use it beyond the activated machine count.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or licence notices.

03Ownership

CamHeard is licensed, not sold. All intellectual property rights in the app remain with its author. This agreement does not transfer any ownership to you.

04Updates

Your licence includes free updates within the major version you purchased. Future major versions may be offered as a separate paid upgrade. You are never required to update.

05Open-source components

CamHeard includes third-party open-source software, including FFmpeg and Qt, among others. These components are provided under their own licences, and the full notices are available within the app. Nothing in this agreement limits any rights you have under those open-source licences.

06No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for keeping backups of your media and projects.

07Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or footage, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

08Term & termination

This licence is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach its terms; on termination you must stop using and remove the app. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
