SCROLL
TC 01:00:00:00 — DROP. SYNC. EXPORT.

Watch a shoot day lock itself.

STEP 1 / 3
Drop your footage
Every camera angle plus the recorder track — mixed cameras, mixed frame rates, any length.
STEP 2 / 3
Sync on sound
CamHeard analyzes the audio of every clip and finds the exact moment they share.
STEP 3 / 3
Export the timeline
A locked, multicam-ready sequence for Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut. Nothing to re-align.

Every camera and recorder captures the same sound. CamHeard reads that audio and aligns every clip to it — frame-accurate, fully offline, no timecode and no markers required.

TC 02:00:00:00 WHY IT HOLDS

Accuracy comes first.

A sync tool earns its place when you can trust its output without double-checking. CamHeard is engineered around that principle — and validated on real productions, not demos.

218 / 218
clips placed frame-accurately on a real multicam event shoot — verified against a hand-synced reference edit.
0
misplaced clips tolerated by our release tests. A build that moves one clip wrong never ships.
100%
offline. Your footage never leaves your computer — there is no upload, no account, no cloud queue.

AUDIO, NOT TIMECODENo jam-sync, no clappers needed

CamHeard syncs using the audio your devices already recorded. No timecode hardware, no slate, no on-set preparation — existing footage syncs as is.

SECONDS, NOT MINUTESA full shoot day, aligned at once

Batch every angle in one pass. The match is sample-accurate, so the result is the same whether it's a 2-minute take or a 4-hour conference.

LOCAL ON YOUR MACYour footage never leaves your computer

All processing happens locally and offline. No uploads, no cloud queue, no account — a safe choice for embargoed and NDA-protected productions.

TC 05:00:00:00 FAQ

Before you ask.

Is CamHeard a good alternative to PluralEyes?

Yes. CamHeard is a multicam audio-sync app for macOS and Windows, in the same category. It aligns every camera to your recorder by sound, is deterministic and frame-accurate, works fully offline, and is a one-time purchase with no subscription.

Does CamHeard work with multi-camera shoots?

Yes — a multi-cam shoot is exactly what it was built for. Drop in every camera and your recorder, and CamHeard lines up all the multicam clips by sound. Two cameras or twenty, one room or several, with or without shared timecode.

Does CamHeard require timecode?

When timecode is there, the sync leans on it and comes out most accurate. When it is not, CamHeard syncs by sound — which is what it was built for, including reverberant venues and different microphones.

Which editors can I export to?

Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve (FCP7 XML), Final Cut Pro (FCPXML). CamHeard writes a separate file for each editor, so the tracks land the way that editor expects.

Is there a free trial and how much does it cost?

Every download starts with a 14-day trial of the full app; after that the free version syncs up to 20 clips per project, forever. A one-time licence is $129 (Pro, 1 machine) or $239 (Studio, 3 seats). No subscription.

Does CamHeard upload my footage to the cloud?

No. Everything runs locally on your own computer; your footage and audio never leave it. Your files are not changed either — CamHeard only listens to them and syncs them.

What are the system requirements?

macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later on Apple Silicon (M1 or later), or Windows 10 (64-bit) or later.

How long does a sync take — and how do I make it faster?

The more footage, the longer. Your computer and your storage affect it most: footage on an SSD (internal or external) syncs several times faster than on a spinning hard drive. For a large multi-hour shoot, copy the footage to an SSD first.

Why did some material stay at the end?

Because there was nothing to sync it with. Most often that is files without sound, b-roll, cutaways and pickups — material shot on its own. It is normal and does not mean something broke. There is a walkthrough in the step-by-step guide.

What if I only have one camera?

The material will be placed by when it was shot, so you are not left hunting for it. But if there is one camera and the sound is recorded on it, there is nothing to sync against — such a project is simpler to drop straight into your editor.

Stop syncing clip by clip in your editor.

Try CamHeard on your next shoot — full accuracy, nothing uploaded, no account.
